SCREEN AREA SETTING
The ideal settings are 800 x 600 or higher. Most people should already have
this setting on their system, but some may not. It may be helpful to let them know.
The easiest way to do this is the following;
1) Right click on a blank area of your desktop
2) From the menu select 'Properties'
3) Select the 'Settings' tab
4) Select Screen Area : 800 x 600
5) Click 'OK'
INTERNET BROWSER
Our website is best suited for Internet Explorer (IE) 6.0 and Netscape 6.2.2 or higher. To upgrade your Netscaper browser, click here.
CREATING A SHORTCUT ON YOUR DESKTOP TO OUR WEB SITE
1) To add a Shortcut to your desktop so that you can access this website more efficiently, open the Internet browser on your computer, type or copy this URL www.eTravelAdvisories.com/agent.html
2) From the URL address, click on the 'E' icon, then drag it to the desktop
3) An icon will appear on your desktop
4) Please note, you will be required to enter your login I.D and Password.
TEMPORARY INTERNET FILES
To ensure you are always viewing current information, please verify the following:
1) Click on "Tools" and select "Options"
2) In the Temporary Internet Files area, select "Settings"
3) "Check new versions of stored pages" should be set at "Automatically"
4) In the "Amount of Disk Space " move range to at least 150 MB
LOGGING IN
1) Open your Internet Explorer as usual.
Enter the URL www.eTravelAdvisories.com and click on GO.
2) The e-Travel Advisory Home Page will appear. Click on LOGINat the top right. A simple login screen will appear.
3) Type in your individual User I.D.and Password. Click on LOGIN.
4) You should now be launched into the e-Travel "Agent" Page. You will see your name appearing under counselor name.
HOW TO USE e-Travel Advisories
1) Back on the SELECT ADVISORIES screen....enter a passenger name in the appropriate box.
2) Enter e-mail address if desired.
3) Select the appropriate destination and dates.
4) On the menu on the right hand side, select PRINT or EMAIL as required.
5) For print jobs, a preview will appear. Looks nice, doesn't it???
6) To print, right click on the preview screen and select PRINT. Or, you
could cut and paste selected information if required.
7) To simply view an advisory, you can scroll down to the listing below and click on any of the destinations. Great for quick reference.
CHANGING YOUR PASSWORD or LOGIN ID
1.) You can change your Password at anytime by going to 'Account Details' at the bottom of your login page. Once you change your password you simple click on SAVE and the new Password becomes active immediately.
2) You MUST logout and login in again...for change to take effect.
3) Changing the Login I.D can only be done the system Administrator. Some large retail clients have their own in house Administrator, other wise call 1-866-319-4847 or e-mail: info@O1yqv46^7TA.com.
STORING PASSWORD OPTION
1) Your IE browser has the option of storing your individual password so that whenever you want to Login, your browser automatically remembers and enters your password.
2) This feature may be turned OFF or ON by going to your Internet browser, then Tools, and Options.
ADDING OR CHANGING E-MAIL ADDRESS IN YOUR ACCOUNT
1) Our website database allows you to e-mail or print your clients' Travel Advisories. Please note, in order for the e-mail functionality to work, you need to have your e-mail address in your account. This is normally done by your Administrator; however, if you did not provide this, you will be required to add it to your account.
2) To add your email, login, and go to "Account 'Details' at the bottom of the page.
3) Type in your new e-mail then go to the bottom of the page and click on 'Save'.
4) You MUST logout and login in again...for the change to take effect.
E-MAILING TRAVEL ADVISORIES
1) 'Delivery Status Notification (Failure)' would be generated by your email
server to the sending agent, if the email has an invalid email domain name.
2) 'Undeliverable": this message may be generated by some (but not all) mail servers where there is a valid e-mail domain name, but an invalid recipient name.
3) White Listed. Make sure your client's mail server and PC will accept emailed Advisories from you.
ADDING TO FAVOURITES
1) You may place www.eTravelAdvisories.com/agent.html in your 'Favorites' folder.
2) The quickest and easiest way to do this would be to select Favorites from your main menu
3) Select 'Add to Favourites'
OTHER INTERESTING TIDBITS...
e-TRAVEL ALERTS - recent worldwide events such as civil unrest, weather disruptions, terrorism, government warnings, health advisories ...etc that can affect traveler itineraries or safety appear on this page.
SETTINGS - DATABASE - regardless of the default database you can select from US English to Canadian English to Canadain French by going to 'Settings' then select 'Database' ! Wonderful in bilingual offices or serving cross border customers!
PRICE - '0' (zero) which will appear as 'Complimentary' on the Travel Advisory. You can change this to reflect any dollar amount by going to 'Settings' then 'Account Details'. When you have made the change, just click on SAVE. Many agents change the Price to a dollar value, eg $5.00, $7.50 etc to show the value to their client. They then tell their client 'It's one of our value-added services' or 'It's included in your servce fee'.
GALILEO LAN PROBLEMS

PRINT PROBLEM
You click on the "Print" button and you remain at the same page and don't get the Advisory print page.
This is usually a result of newly added "Pop Up Blocker" added to your PC. Some users who upgraded to MSN 6.2 have had this prblem.
To get to print image page:
1. have turn off your "Blocker", select "Print", print the Advisory then turn your Blocker back on,
2. hold CTL key down when you click on Print Button, or
3. BEST set www.eTravelAdvisories as a trusted site in Internet Options.
